1 Because the illustrator's corner function is very mentally handicapped and cannot be used for filming, it is necessary to draw the corners themselves (this is much better with FH and CD). Remember to make the four-colored corner (C100M100Y100K100) if there is special Color, it is necessary to do a good corner for each spot color, and to remember to select OVERPRINT (or overprint stroke, depending on how you do the corner line) can also be manually added are C100, M100, Y100, K100's CMYK words, if there are many spot color films, it is also best to make special marks for each spot color. Marks are made out of the bleeding line.
2 Minimize the use of too many MASKs, either CLIPMASK or TRANSPARENCE MASK, and use them sparingly. In fact, consider using a lot of words to consider the finalization. Because the various versions of illustrator (including various versions of ai9) open files to see MASK will be very different, leading to errors.
3 Whether the font has been completely converted to the curve of the quick view method: select all, and then see the TYPE menu, if the convert to outline option is gray, indicating that all the curve. Another insurance, you can check the find font menu item. In order to ensure safety, I still feel that it is better to turn it into a curve than with a font. Although the curve can not be modified, but I think the proofreading work should be completed before the film, not in the output company to do, even after the proofing ... ... ... do not use rgb or four-colored words, especially note from other software COPY text.
4 It is best to do a flatten artwork before exporting, compress all layers into one layer, and forget to select all layers when outputting files. Also remember to open the overprint preview and see if there is an overprint where the overprint should not be done.
5 bitmap, this is very important and very troublesome, must remember to use cmyk picture, otherwise what effect does not know oneself. Don't zoom or rotate the bitmap. It should be done in PHOTOSHOP. Otherwise, it will increase the times of the output. If the bitmap is passive, it can be in the linkS panel. Double click the icon of the bitmap and the bottom of the popup message box can be See if there is zoom, rotation, etc. In addition, some output company's machines do not support DCS 2.0 eps, it is best to use dcs1.0 eps or TIFF.
6 MAC and PC. Do not be afraid, the difference between MAC and PC is not as big as imagined. I guarantee that all those who are skilled in the PS/AI/FH/CD software on Windows will be able to accurately use these softwares on the MAC within 10 minutes. It will take a bit longer to become familiar with system operations and output operations, but it is not difficult. We remember that the right mouse button of the PC mouse is the CONTROL + mouse button on the MAC (the MAC mouse has no right button!). The CTRL+ ×× operation on the PC is the Apple button on the MAC (there is an apple and a flower) + ××, the keyboard is basically the same, PC and MAC shortcut keys are easy to get through. However, it should be noted that although MAC and PC files can basically be opened to each other (as long as the same software is used), you must make sure that the output company has no PC or MAC. The other is the TIF map. If the TIF made on the PC is to be put on the MAC, it should be stored in the MAC format and vice versa. Other files are relatively rare.
7 Software issues. In Guangzhou, many output companies will have: FH8 (Simplified Chinese on Mac, Traditional Chinese on PC), AI8, AI9, PS4, PS5, CD8 (pc), CD9 (pc), PM6.5C, relatively few There are: CD10 (PC), AI10, FH10, PM7, ID2, CD8 (MAC), in short, do not use the latest version.
8 Popularity of various software versions: According to some output company's masters, the best is FH8, the least problem. However, the problem of fh is mainly the production aspect: 1 Chinese 2 bitmap preview difference. As for filming with AI, AI8 is better than AI9, and AI9 will have some strange problems (I have met a lot, but I really can't stand the AI8's layer board...). The CD out of the CD9 is better than the CD8 (but personally feel that the CD9 is not stable on the CD8), and the problem of the CD9 is the well-known "version" problem.
9 It's best to bring a print proof and tell the person there to clarify the requirements and details. AI is good for PCs and MACs, but FH and CDs are a little bit painful. However, I would also like to try using FH if the person concerned advocates. (Chinese.................. forget it, turn over the old disc to find FH8CT.)

However, AI is sometimes annoying, and the overprint line is sometimes not available on the spot color version. 2, text, it is best to turn the curve. Because in the case of a film company, sometimes there are so many things that there is no time for you to check. If you are wrong, you can only think of yourself as unlucky.
3, on the sixth point, PC and MAC file conversion, in fact, not so much trouble, even if you save the TIF file in the MAC when not stored in PC format, as long as the PC on the MAC file behind a tif suffix. Name on the line. Also, if you save in TIF format, the file will be smaller if it is compressed, but it will take a lot of time if it is opened. Ha ha
4, on the 8th point. In fact, I still like to use FH8. Even if it is used on a PC. Because of his many shortcuts. And the function of custom shortcuts is also very powerful, and then for the poor bitmap preview you say, if it is in the MAC no problem, in the PC, my approach is generally to save the picture as a 72dpi low resolution Once the file is imported, the speed will be much faster. When you do the manuscript, replace the high resolution with the lower resolution file.
5. Regarding the ninth point, in general, it is better for you to be perfect. According to past experience, if I generally export, unless the customer is familiar with me, I would be reluctant to manage it. There is nothing wrong with it. And black text will automatically overprint when it goes to outline.

First, with the AI ​​output, I think the curve is better, especially the English font; Chinese is better, generally we use the output center, but there are too many English fonts, the output center will not have all.
Second, we must pay special attention to the overprinting of AI, especially plain black text. After Outline, if there is no overprint padding, even if the output center selects the overprint black in the output option, it will still cause the missing string problem. I just touched the nails.)
Third, if the color of a bitmap is drawn using a dropper to achieve uniform background color, there will be inconsistencies between the background color and the bitmap background color when the file is transferred from the Mac to the PC or from the PC to the MAC.
My little experience:
1, on the black overprint settings, you can use Illustrator's own filter: Filter-> color-> black overprint. Very easy to use.
2. I've gotten used to drawing my own feet (not a solution), but Crop marks in Illustrator are very useful. It can define the print range when the phototypes are printed, and specify the output range when the output is a TIFF image. But it will not be exported by itself.
3, I will certainly look at the document before the output of the object in the document, which has on the font, spot color, RGB object, CMYK object, link files, embedded files and other important information. Pay attention to remove the check before the select only.
4. If you often use spot colors, such as 5 or 6 at a time, this experience will be useful. You can use color registration, but the output must be removed from the color separation print dialog box. Otherwise, the color of the plan will change to monochrome black (k100). As long as the filter in the first bar is used, the option to automatically overprint black is completely useless.
Lastly, Illustrator 10 will output the Crop marks generated on the black version when the output is separated, but 8.0 will not.
