DuPont Cyre® flexographic printing plate is a flexible printing relief plate, which consists of three major components: a flexographic photosensitive resin layer, a dimensionally stable base substrate, and a protective film covering it and being removable. A dimensionally stable substrate resin sheet will ensure print registration accuracy. DuPont Cyrel*TDR
(Printing plate for corrugated boxes)

Cyrel*TDR is a low-durometer, photo-textured depth-sensitive flexo-resin version that ensures corrugated box quality printing.

Adaptability to printing inks and solvents Cyrel* TDR is similar to natural rubber in its ability to adapt to printing inks and solvents. It can be used with water based, ethanol based and glycol based inks and mixtures with a small amount of active solvent.
We recommend Cyrel* TDR double-sided tape for Cyrel* TDR plates. After this, the edge of the plate should be sealed with edge sealant to prevent the ink from penetrating between the plate and the gasket. The resin substrate of the TDR plate keeps the plate size stable, even in large format.
The original storage uncovered plate should be between 4-32 °C, away from heat. Humidity does not need to be controlled. In the box, foam gaskets between the plates protect the plates from damage during transportation and storage. Plates must be stacked horizontally.
The original plate processing room should use yellow light (a golden fluorescent tube or a white fluorescent tube with DuPont DP480 yellow film) or filtered white light.
Platemaking Steps Platemaking can be done with the Cyrel* platemaking system or a similar platesetter. The process is as follows: ● Determine the thickness of the substrate and improve the photosensitivity by back exposure. The length of the back exposure depends on the required depth of the plate pattern.
● Remove the transparent resin film for main exposure. This forms a plate image. Negative film should have a matte surface. DuPont Cyrel* BLM, BLDM, CQLM, HDBM and CFRM films are all matte finishes.
● Scrub in the plate washer to remove unexposed parts.
● Wash the plate with fresh solvent and dry it in the dryer.
● Detach with UV-C light.
• Remove the remaining unexposed resin by post-exposure.
Stored plates should be washed with compatible solvents before storage. These plates can be stored on the plate cylinder and can also be removed from the plate cylinder for smooth storage. . Please do not expose it to sunlight and excessive white light or contact with ozone.

DuPont Cyrel® DRC
