"The method of carbonylation to synthesize α, β unsaturated acetylenone compound" won the national invention patent

It was learned on August 3 that the "Method for the Synthesis of α, β Unsaturated Acetyl Ketone Compounds by Carbonylation" co-invented by Chen Jing, Liu Jianhua, Xia Chungu, etc. of the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences was granted a national invention patent authorization (patent number: ZL200710305968.5 ).

The invention uses iodized aromatic hydrocarbon, terminal alkyne compound, carbon monoxide as reactants, activated carbon supported palladium as a catalyst, in the presence of a cocatalyst and a reaction solvent, the reaction temperature is controlled at 80 ℃ to 140 ℃, the pressure of carbon monoxide is 0.5MPa to 3.0MPa, react for 1-4 hours to get the product. After the reaction, the catalyst and product can be separated by simple centrifugal separation. The catalyst can be used repeatedly for many times while basically maintaining the activity of the catalyst. The selectivity of α, β unsaturated acetylenone is greater than 99%.

The raw materials used in this method are easily available, the synthesis reaction conditions are mild, the process is simple, and the operation is easy. The catalyst system is simple, low in cost, high in reactivity, and has good selectivity. It can be applied to a variety of substrates, and the product and the catalyst are easily separated. An efficient, economical, environmentally friendly, and easy-to-operate catalyst system has very good industrial application prospects.

Alpha and beta unsaturated acetylenic ketones are an extremely important class of organic intermediates, which are widely used in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, bioactive macromolecules, natural products, drugs, etc. The traditional methods for synthesizing α, β unsaturated acetylenic ketones have the problems of harsh reaction conditions, difficulty in obtaining substrates, or low yields of the resulting products. The use of iodinated benzene and terminal alkyne compounds in the presence of carbon monoxide carbonylation Sonogashira coupling reaction is another way to synthesize this type of compound, but currently reported carbonylation Sonogashira coupling reaction using homogeneous phosphine-containing palladium catalyst system. The use of phosphine compounds is toxic and the product and catalyst are difficult to separate.
