12 Test Report
12.1 The test report must clearly state the evaluation criteria used and the results obtained. If required, it should include test results for each individual sample, the average results for groups of identical samples, or photographs of the samples for reference.
a) The standard number and any relevant standards referenced;
b) The type of salt and water used in the test;
c) A detailed description of the material or product being tested;
d) The dimensions, shape, surface area, and condition of the sample;
e) Preparation of the sample, including cleaning before testing and protection of edges or other sensitive areas;
f) Description of any coating layer or surface treatment features;
g) The total number of samples tested;
h) Cleaning method after the test, if applicable, along with weight loss caused by the cleaning process;
i) The angle at which the sample was placed during testing;
j) The frequency and number of times the sample was moved or disturbed;
k) The duration of the test cycle and any intermediate inspection findings;
l) Performance of a reference sample placed specifically in the salt spray chamber to verify test conditions;
m) The test temperature;
n) The salt spray deposition rate;
o) The pH level of both the test solution and the collection solution;
p) The density of the collected liquid;
q) Corrosion rate of the reference sample, expressed as mass loss in g/m²;
r) Any unexpected events that may have affected the test results;
s) The interval between inspections.
The test report for salt spray testing according to GBT10125-2012 must follow the requirements outlined in this standard. It is essential to ensure all necessary details are included to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of the test outcomes.
