Ciba Develops UV Absorbers for Powder Coatings

Ciba developed a UV absorber for powder coatings, named TINUVIN 405. The absorber has good melting point, excellent light-curing performance, thermal stability, and good performance even in harsh environments. Persistence, for acrylic or polyester resins. Due to its low melting point, TINUVIN405 is also used in epoxy acrylate powder coatings. When used together with light hindered amine stabilizers, TINUVIN405 can significantly improve the life, color, luster and physical properties of coatings.
