Igus introduces heavy-duty linear guides

Igus has now developed a new linear guide system for the harshest environments - the new "heavy-duty" linear guide Drylin T and was welcomed by users at the Hannover Messe 2005. The system is widely used in food and packaging industries, and even suitable for road construction and quarrying, mining and other harsh working conditions.

Igus, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, is a professional company with lubrication-free, maintenance-free linear sliding technology (engineered plastic sliding elements used in harsh applications).

The linear guide DRYLIN T has been available for many years and has now been used very successfully in many applications, especially in dirty environments. Current applications include: wood processing, paper and textile processing, and packaging machinery. The new linear guide "Heavy duty type" DRYLIN T, now introduced at the Hannover Messe, is more robust and has new design features: Sliding elements made of igusldur J, an igus polymer material with a very low friction and wear coefficient All sides within the guide frame can be linked. Each sliding element is suspended in the metal profile by drilling. Once it is pushed onto the track, the linear guide system works 24 hours a day in dust and spatter.
