【Abstract】This paper lists the progress of screen printing technology in the past ten years, and gives a detailed introduction to some domestic printing materials. 1 Introduction

2 About screen printing

4 Screen printing applications in metal packaging

4.3 Screen printing (ink)

(1) Resist ink

The screen printing is used to screen the corrosion-resistant ink on the surface of the metal packaging to protect the parts that do not need to be etched, and then the surface of the metal packaging is chemically converted by a special etching solution to achieve the desired marks and patterns on the surface of the metal packaging. 4.4 Screen printing process for metal packaging

The screen printing process for metal packaging products is as follows:

Hole positioning methods are often used for printing and machining of steel drum closures.

(3) Ink mixing

The requirements for screen printing inks for metal packaging are strong adhesion, good abrasion resistance, clear graphics after printing, fast drying and no sealing. The metal packaging screen printing ink is generally made of a synthetic resin such as alkyd or phenolic as a side material, and a special ink made by adding a part of a pigment or an auxiliary agent. The ink has good printing performance, and is dried naturally after printing or baked at 120 ° C for 2 hours. The surface of the ink film is bright, has a sense of body, and has excellent adhesion to metal and wear resistance. The ink film of this ink was tested with a JM-1 type paint film abrasion tester, and the rubber grinding wheel with a load of 750 g can be ground more than 500 times, and the cloth wheel can be ground up to 5000 times or more.

4.5 Computerized plate making

Screen printing production, the most common is the computer equipment → laser photoplotter screen printing film (photographic film). Another approach is to image directly on a screen coated with a screen photographic material using computer inkjet technology (a digital plate-making system). Using this technology directly challenges the plate-making film (photographic film), not only eliminates the camera in the screen-making technology, but also eliminates the darkroom process and the silver salt base (plate-making film). This new technology from computer to screen has been used. Commercialized, its complete sets of equipment have been put on the market. Currently, the only drawback of this technology is that the system is extremely expensive. 4.6 Parameterization procedure for screen production control

With the introduction of new technologies, automation of control of screen printing prepress parameters has become possible, and because of this, modern screen printing will completely or maximally bid farewell to the production mode of the former workshop. Screen tension is a very important factor in ensuring the quality of screen printing production. (1) Stretching equipment and stretching method

The final tension of the screen is largely influenced by the equipment used in the stretcher (pneumatic, mechanical or self-tensioning). Stretching the net should not be in place at one time; before applying the adhesive to the mesh, the screen should be loosened by 15~20mm first, which will help stabilize the tension of the screen. The tension on the screen is preferably slightly above the circumference, and the pressure distribution of the blade when moving on such a screen is relatively uniform. In order to ensure the ultimate stability of the tension, the mesh frame of the stretched net should stay on the stretcher for more than 48 hours. Relative to a certain size of the frame, if the strength of the frame is not enough, the consistency of the tension cannot be guaranteed. For mesh models for screen printing of metal packaging, wooden frames are not suitable, and metal mesh frames are recommended.

(3) Tensiometer

The tension meter is an indispensable tool for stretching the net and controlling the tension of the screen. It is an effective way to ensure the quality of the screen printing by monitoring the tension condition before the screen printing and the tension loss during the printing process. The same tensiometer should be used when checking or comparing the tension of the set of screens.
