The input impedance of the oscilloscope is generally 1M, but the input capacitance is rarely mentioned, the problem is that the input of the oscilloscope has an equivalent capacitance!

If the oscilloscope input is directly connected to the circuit under test, if the frequency is very low, the input capacitance will not affect it. Low frequency distortion!

A pair of resistors and capacitors are connected in series to create a differential circuit to offset the effect of the integrating circuit, so as not to cause measurement distortion !! You can also think of the resistor and capacitor on the probe and the resistor and capacitor on the oscilloscope as an RC Bridge, when the bridge is balanced, it will become a pure resistance circuit, the effect of capacitance disappears, so the waveform will not be distorted !!
