Hubei strives to build Huazhong Furniture City to build the fifth pole of Chinese furniture

Qianjiang City is rapidly becoming a major hub in the Chinese furniture industry, with the Huazhong Furniture Industrial Park emerging as a key driver of economic growth. The park is not only positioning itself as a new economic engine for Hubei but also aiming to become the "fifth pole" of China's furniture sector. Residents and visitors can now find top-quality furniture from around the world right in Qianjiang, turning it into a destination for both domestic and international buyers. Located along Zhanghua Avenue, the area has transformed from a quiet suburb into a vibrant industrial zone. Just three years ago, this land was largely undeveloped, but today, it's home to modern factories and bustling operations. The park was established with a vision of large-scale development, fast progress, and visible results. What once seemed like a distant dream is now becoming a reality, thanks to the efforts of local leaders and entrepreneurs. In 2014, a delegation from Heidenheim, Germany, visited the park, showing international interest in its potential. The Huazhong Home Direct Sales City, covering 180,000 square meters, is one of the highlights. Companies like Haodi Furniture, a leading brand in China, have chosen to establish their operations here, attracted by the strategic location, resources, and logistics advantages. The park has grown quickly, with over 66 furniture manufacturers and service providers now operating within its boundaries. Among them are well-known names such as Quanyou, Jintiantuo, and Hanqi. The industrial park is not just about manufacturing—it’s about building a complete ecosystem that includes sales, logistics, and innovation. Inside Haodi Furniture’s factory, the environment is clean and efficient, with advanced production lines and strict environmental standards. The company, headquartered in Chengdu, moved to Qianjiang in 2011, choosing the city for its strong forestry resources and convenient transportation. Its products now serve Central China and beyond. Looking ahead, the park aims to become the fifth-largest furniture market in China, with a focus on regional influence and industrial synergy. Plans include expanding into a massive trading center, a cultural furniture expo, and a logistics hub. The Huazhong Home Sales Center, which covers 180,000 square meters, is already under construction and expected to open soon. With support from major retail chains like Red Star Macalline, the park is set to become a central point for furniture distribution in the region. More than 100 brands are planning to join, including several well-known national names. A logistics base, developed by Shenzhen-based Bio-Stream, will further strengthen the park’s supply chain capabilities. As the park continues to grow, it’s not just about furniture—it’s about creating a new model of industrial development. With its ambition, scale, and global connections, the Huazhong Furniture Industrial Park is poised to become the Silicon Valley of China’s furniture industry, shaping the future of the sector for years to come.
