Hubei strives to build Huazhong Furniture City to build the fifth pole of Chinese furniture

In recent years, the development of the Huazhong Furniture Industrial Park has become a key focus for Hubei Province. The goal is to position Qianjiang City as a new economic hub and establish it as the "fifth pole" of China's furniture industry. This ambitious vision aims to bring world-class furniture to Qianjiang, transforming it into a major center in the national furniture market. Located along Zhanghua Avenue, the area has evolved from quiet suburbs into a vibrant industrial zone. Once an underdeveloped land, it now hosts modern factories and thriving businesses. The park was built with a clear objective: large scale, fast progress, and visible results. What once seemed like a distant dream is now becoming a reality. Three years ago, when the Qianjiang Municipal Party Committee first proposed the idea of developing a new furniture industry, many doubted its feasibility. Today, that dream is taking shape. The park, which covers 30,000 mu with a planned investment of 50 billion yuan, has already seen significant progress. The first phase has completed 11,000 mu, and over 25 furniture companies are now operating or under construction. One of the leading firms in the park is Haodi Furniture, a top-selling brand in Asia. With advanced production lines and eco-friendly materials, the company sets a high standard for quality and sustainability. Its factory, located in Qianjiang, features a lush, garden-like environment with trees lining the pathways. Inside, the production process is efficient and clean, with no harmful odors. Haodi’s decision to locate in Qianjiang was based on the city’s strategic advantages—its location, forestry resources, and transportation infrastructure. Since entering the park in 2011, the company has expanded its reach across Central China and beyond. Other notable companies such as Quanyou, Jintiantuo, and Hanqi have also joined the park, contributing to a growing cluster of furniture manufacturers and service providers. Together, they form a strong industrial ecosystem. Looking ahead, Deng Chengxu, chairman of the Huazhong Furniture Industrial Park, is confident about the future. He believes the park is well-positioned to become the fifth-largest furniture market in China. By focusing on large-scale development, brand building, and improved logistics, the park aims to create a regional hub that attracts both domestic and international attention. To support this vision, the park is working with Red Star Macalline, one of China’s largest home furnishing chains, to build a high-end sales network. A massive 180,000-square-meter Huazhong Home Sales Center is under construction, with the first two phases expected to be completed soon. Additionally, the park is expanding its infrastructure, including a raw material market, a logistics base, and a business incubator for SMEs. International logistics partner Bio-Stream has also established a subsidiary in Qianjiang, investing 560 million yuan to build a 400-mu logistics base. With its strong industrial chain, advanced facilities, and strategic positioning, the Huazhong Furniture Industrial Park is set to become a major player in the global furniture industry. It is not just a place for manufacturing—it’s a new city of dreams, aiming to be the Silicon Valley of furniture.
