Home Health: Infant bedroom is not suitable for putting flowers

[ China Wardrobe ] In life, many parents like to put some flowers and plants in the children's bedroom at home. In fact, this method is wrong, because flowers and plants may affect the health of children.

First, the proportion of infants and young children who are allergic to flowers and plants (especially some pollen) is much higher than that of adults. The stems, leaves, and flowers of flowers such as guanglan, hydrangea, evergreen, and jasmine may induce skin allergies in infants and young children; cactus, prickly pears, tiger thorns, etc. are covered with spikes, which are easy to stab infants and delicate children. The skin even causes edema of the skin mucosa.

Secondly, the stems, leaves and flowers of some flowers contain toxins. For example, the branches and leaves of the evergreen have some toxicity, and the oral mucosa is directly stimulated after the entrance, and the throat mucosa is congested and edema, resulting in difficulty in swallowing and even breathing. If you eat oleander, infants and young children will have vomiting, abdominal pain, coma and other symptoms of acute poisoning. Another example is the bulb of daffodil, which is like fruit. After eating, it will cause vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms of acute gastritis.

Once again, many flowers, especially the famous flowers and grasses, will emit a rich and wonderful fragrance. And letting infants stay in a strong environment for a long time may reduce the smell of infants and suppress appetite.

Finally, it should be emphasized that in general, flowers inhale oxygen at night and exhale carbon dioxide, so that indoor oxygen may be insufficient.
