Finnish company invents recyclable packaging materials

[Chinese Packaging News] A startup company in Espoo, Finland has invented a wood fiber material with plastic properties that can be used to replace existing plastic bags. 80% of the materials it uses are recyclable, and used bags can also be recycled as raw materials for cardboard. In 2015, the European Parliament passed a decree aimed at reducing the use of plastic bags by 80% in five years. At present, Europe uses an average of 180 plastic bags per person per year and consumes 100 billion plastic bags a year, causing harm to the environment. Believe that this invention provides a sustainable solution for the daily consumption of large areas of commodity packaging.
