Titan Launches Automatic Tower Slitter Rewinder

Titan Corporation introduced the CT610 new automatic tower slitter rewinder, which has a more upscale specification than the previous Titan CT600 models. With a maximum operating speed of 760 m/min, the CT610 has a high level of automation and increased productivity for large volume cutting applications, including automated core and blade positioning and faster installation steps.

The CT610 has a unique linear tracking system that provides a perfect roll shape for the processing of a wide range of flexible materials at high speeds. It can also be equipped with automated roll core loading and full-sized cut-out reel removal. A range of alternative automated reel handling systems can also be configured in the CT610.
The Titan CT610 tower slitter rewinder achieves a batch change time of less than 20 seconds and is an important step forward in the development of automatic slitter and rewind technology.

Alan Johnson, Titan's business manager, explained: "Our machines must to a large extent adapt to the ever-changing regulations of flexible materials to meet the market's demand for more complex packaging materials."

Since its introduction three months ago, four Titan CT610 slitters have been sold to processors.
