American Beer Instant Plastic Bottle Packaging
Some breweries in the United States are beginning to switch to using plastic bottles to pack beer, and there is an increasing trend.
Kansas's dony express brand beer packaging is being converted from glass bottles to three-ply amber pet plastic bottles, and plastic bottle packaging can still use existing filling equipment. Constar International, Inc., of Maryland, manufactures parisons and blow-molded three-layer bottles in plastic bottles. The outer and inner layers of the bottles are pet, and the barrier core material is a special nylon, mxd6. Constar claims that it also uses a high-performance oxygen absorber, oxbar, so there is virtually no adverse effect of oxygen infiltration into plastic bottles, and the problem of escape of carbon dioxide is greatly reduced. The greatplains beer company began production of plastic bottle-packed beer on July 6, 2003, distributes it to hotels, sports and entertainment venues through domestic retailers, and plans to export to China.
