Apple Print Thank You Teacher Cards

The other day, while rummaging through old files on my computer, I stumbled upon this dusty little draft from four years ago. It was one of those posts I never got around to publishing, probably because life got busy or I lost interest. Anyway, as I scrolled through the photos, I found myself reminiscing about how tiny and adorable the twins looked back then. They were in Nursery, so they must’ve been just turning four. In Nursery, there’s always a bustling crew of teachers and teaching assistants, and at the end of the school year, it’s customary to express gratitude with thank-you cards. I remember thinking that an apple print would be a fun and straightforward way to make a bunch of cards quickly. Plus, it was such a sunny day that we decided to take our supplies outside. Honestly, it didn’t matter if things got messy—just the joy on their faces made it worthwhile. We kept things simple: just some halved apples, red and green paint, and a large roll of paper we picked up somewhere. For the actual cards, we used pre-cut blank cards. The girls had a blast practicing stamping the apples on the big sheet of paper. They needed a bit of guidance to ensure the prints didn’t smudge since they loved sliding the apples around. Once they got the hang of it, they started stamping one apple print on each card. The results were surprisingly charming! As the cards dried, the twins entertained themselves by creating patterns on the leftover paper. We used an inkpad and stamps for the "Thank You" message, though you could also handwrite it if you prefer. Finishing touches included adding details with a black felt-tip pen. The final products were simple yet sweet—perfect gifts for those wonderful teachers who dedicate their time and energy to our kids. To this day, these cards remain a cherished memory, not only for me but for the girls too. They’re a testament to how creativity and gratitude can come together in such a meaningful way. And honestly, they’re still as cute now as they were back then. If you're looking for a heartfelt project for Teacher Appreciation Week or just want to brighten someone's day, this is definitely worth trying! As I sat there, scrolling through these old photos, I couldn’t help but smile. It’s funny how time flies and how those little moments can linger so vividly in your mind. I think I’ll try something similar this year—it might even be easier now that the twins are older.
