Somany’s Residence
Completed in 2020, Somany’s Residence is located in the bustling Engineers Enclave neighborhood of New Delhi. Designed by Atrey & Associates, the residence features a strikingly angular façade that sets it apart. The client, a prominent fashion designer, desired a simple yet unique home that emphasized both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Large windows were incorporated to maximize natural light while maintaining privacy. The north-facing 28’ x 58’ footprint includes an ‘A’ frame in the façade, which wraps around the upper ground and first floors. The water body adjacent to the main lounge and the green space near the powder room on the first floor add to the home’s charm. Whether viewed during the day or illuminated at night, this bold structure commands attention.
Avtar Villa
Inspired by the harmony of music, Avtar Villa is a masterpiece created by Atrey & Associates. With its uncluttered and monochromatic design, the villa embodies a playful yet serene atmosphere. The fluidic forms and interplay of spaces evoke a sense of balance, distinguishing it from static, cubic structures. The clients, who lead busy lifestyles, sought a home that would provide tranquility rather than visual stimulation. To achieve this, Atrey & Associates adopted a modern minimalist approach with smooth curves. The result is a harmonious blend of artistry and functionality that resonates with the clients’ lifestyle.
Deep Villa
Nestled in the dense urban landscape of Delhi, Deep Villa stands as an architectural landmark. Reflecting modernity and globalization, the villa seamlessly integrates Western influences with sensitivity to local culture, environment, and societal aspirations. Its form comprises stacked planes with rounded edges and sharp angles, creating both dramatic visual impact and functional utility as balconies and terraces. The design speaks volumes about contemporary architecture while staying true to its roots.
