International paper size

The paper size commonly used in our country is inconsistent with international standards. For many years, foreign paper sizes that have been discontinued have been used, such as 31 x 43 inches (787 x 1092 mm). This non-standard paper size is not suitable for international publication size requirements, and it is time for change. The current revised national standard GB788 "Size of Book Journal Size" is in accordance with ISO9000 International Open Size. Since 2000, China will abolish the non-standard size of 787×1092mm full-page printed publications. To this end, the publishing and printing departments should actively prepare for the introduction of an internationally accepted open size. Now introduce the international standard paper size as follows:

The international standard size is recommended by ISO International Standards Organization according to DLN476 (German Industrial Standards). This standard size is based on the standard dimensions of Professor Ostwal. The ratio of long side to short side of the paper is: 1:2 or 1:1.414. The ratio of the long side to the short side of this size is always the same whether it is open, closed or open.

There are two formulas for the original size (AO):

X:Y=1:2

X·Y=1m 2 (accurately 999949mm 2) is calculated based on the paper loss at the small size of the cut.

A series = basic series, mainly used for books, documents, forms, business letters, samples,
Posters, etc.

B series = geometric mean of the A series, not trimmed. Mainly used for envelopes, paper clips,
Portfolios and other paper products.
