Special effects printing

In the early days, shirts, hats, and some patterns were transferred using large electrostatic-silver guns. However, the thick and strong ancient transfer method that has been used in the past seems to have arrived at sunset in the Western Hills. Recently, another method to replace this technology has emerged, this way is called: special ink prints. People's demand for the use of special effects products and processes is at an upward trend. At present, the ancient tie-dyeing technique is used in the mass media market. The clothes thus produced look more lively and creative. We have now made improvements to photochromic and thermochromic technologies. And also named stone-wash, acid-wash, discharge, enhancing, reenhancing, foil, puff, Glow-in-the-dark, reflective, metallic, conductive, and 3D-puff, chalkboard, and suede effects Technology. The following is a description of some of the new special effects. Pleat and leather effect pleats - this effect does not change, but with new applications such as: high-rise, low-profile, leather appearance and multi-color effect. A few years ago, a leather-effect ink was produced from a pleated ink. The standard pleated and leather-effect inks are very similar in the finished product, but there is a big difference in the transfer process for each type of ink. Using pleated ink, the mesh number is 86 lpi. The use of leather ink, it can be more fine, up to 200-230lpi as much. Pleat inks, like standard plastisols, can be completed by passing through the dryer once. For leather, the requirement for drying is longer, or two to three passes through the dryer to get the final result. With these inks, even more stunning results can be obtained if halftone printing or hand drawing is performed. And use halftone or pattern technology, can reduce the wrinkle effect caused by over thick pleated ink. Both inks can be purchased as ink additives. Because foils cannot be cleaned, this effect has rarely been used. This foiling technology originates from the thermal printing industry. It can be used on screen-printed adhesive materials or on cold stripping heat transfer materials. The best way to apply a foil to a cold stripping transfer material is as follows: - Heat the thermal printer to 375-400F (Fahrenheit). - After applying a cold stripping transfer on the exterior, the liner can be removed; - The foil is printed with the coloured side facing up, and a liner is placed on the foil, and the shirt is pressed for 5-10 seconds; - Before removing the liner, allow the foil to cool completely. If some part of the foil is not faded, the above process can be continued; - After the backing paper is removed, the heat is applied to obtain a matt satin-like surface effect, and the effect is more durable. The swarf and gleam effects will add a little bright effect to the design and will be more lively. If the overall design is a bright effect, it may cause annoying, but for a color part of the glazing design, the design will achieve the purpose of improving. For crumb ink, the number of meshes is 25-32 lpi. For the effect of low light or metallic luster, the number of meshes of 60-80 lpi is used (depending on the size of the sheet and the thickness of the ink). Color-change inks Color-change inks are inks that change color under certain conditions. Photochromism and thermochromic are the two most commonly used methods in printing plants, and water-sensitive discoloration techniques are also emerging. One of the most prone to problems with this type of printing technology is finger contact, which may expose the original transparent area. Therefore, pay special attention to keeping the printed page from excess ink to prevent the print from getting dirty before drying and cooling. Discharge This ink technology is an old-fashioned technology that began to rise again in previous years. And now, great progress has been made in the screen printing industry. The water-based discharge ink replaces the color of the dye on the jacket, but the color of the paint is used, but almost no change in the effect is seen. At the beginning of the discharge of ink, many screen printers are thousands of miles away because the ink is difficult to use and toxic. However, today's conductive inks are very environmentally friendly and easy to use. Discharge has changed a lot in a very short period of time. Discharge additives are mixed with existing plastisol inks to make the ink conductive. Sources of Information If you are not familiar with the effects of special effects inks and foils, contact the manufacturer of these inks. They will provide you with many examples and help with product production. Another way to get information is the Internet. Although special-effect inks are more expensive than standard water-based and plastisol inks, they can enhance the design. Keep in mind that many of these inks have their own special application and are not suitable for all designs. To use these products, you must first understand the process limitations and communicate these restrictions with the customer to ensure that they are satisfied with the printed product.
