Domestic silver salt diffusion CTP plate successfully developed

The Institute of Photosensitive Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences has long been engaged in the research and development of silver salt diffusion type photosensitive materials. At the end of the 1980s, the Institute of Photosensitive Science has developed a silver salt diffusion type photographic plate. Since 1997, in order to adapt to the development trend of international CTP technology, the Institute has conducted research on silver salt diffusion type CTP plates and corresponding processing kits. With the close cooperation of Beijing Priest Company, China Standard Press and Beijing Daily, the sensation has achieved gratifying results in this respect.

At the beginning of this year, based on the completion of laboratory research, Beijing Sensui cooperated with Beijing Prey Corporation to conduct pilot coating of silver salt diffusion type CTP plates. After solving the technical problems such as the ultra-thin coating and drying of the image receiving layer and the photosensitive layer, the two parties cooperated to produce the first batch of domestically produced CTP plates. On November 2, the plate was printed on the Beijing Daily and used the Baolu Defu platemaking machine and self-developed processing liquids. It was plated and used to print the “Beijing Daily” 10th and 11th on November 3rd. The printing press used was the Uniset press of the Beijing Daily Printing Center. The process tracking test results show that its scanning accuracy, scanning speed, etc. are exactly the same as that of DuPont's Silverlith plate, and its sensitivity is slightly higher than that of DuPont plate material. From the printed sample, the resolution is comparable to that of DuPont, and the line resolution is better than the traditional PS plate. At the annual meeting of the National Press Association that opened on November 12, when Comrade Xu Haifan summed up the work of the association, he particularly affirmed the achievements made by the Photographic Society. After distributing the printed sample to the delegates, it attracted a lot of interest from the representatives of Wenhui Xinmin Newspaper Group, Yangcheng Evening News Group and Hubei Daily Newspaper. They expressed that they would strengthen cooperation with the photoreceptors and promote the localization of CTP plates. process.

Prior to this, the Institute of Photographic Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has completed the development of a silver salt diffusion type CTP plate matching processing solution (including developer, developing additive solution, water washing solution, and solid solution, etc.). The Silverlith plate of DuPont was processed on the processing machine of China Standard Press. The produced plate was in full compliance with the printing requirements and was used to print the color cover of China Agricultural Standards Collection. On July 28th this year, on the Baolu Defu direct plate-making system of the Beijing Daily, the Dupont Silverlith plate was washed with a full set of process chemicals developed by the sensitization. The results were comparable to DuPont's process kits. After four weeks of continuous use on the device, the performance of the drug solution remained stable, indicating that the domestic drug kit has reached practical requirements and can completely replace imports.

At present, under the leadership of Professor Chen Ping of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Chen Ping is actively raising funds to prepare for the production of media and kits. Beijing Pratt is also building a production line, hoping to have more partners to join, and strive to come up with bulk products next year to meet the needs of domestic newspapers and commercial printing.
