New corn polyester packaging

Sony Pacific recently released a new portable radio with a blister pack. This package was developed by Cargill Dow LLC's CornWorks Polymer Poly(lactide).

The blister package of the LCR-P10 AM radio, which was introduced in July last year, offers a distinctive point of purchase - a clear and environmentally friendly appearance. Its forming blister can be cleanly and firmly folded to the crack of the back cardboard card and firmly fixed on the cardboard.

Cardboard is marked with blue "eco info", which emphasizes the environmental characteristics of this material. From December 2000 onwards, Sony used the logo on the front and back of the board to express the decomposable characteristics of the kind of packaging material and to convey the environmental protection information to consumers.

According to Cargill Dow, the radio package received a packaging technology award sponsored by the Japan Packaging Association. A few days ago, Sony used polylactic acid lactide for compact cassette recorders and radio packages.
