The implementation of vapor deposition technology in this equipment can greatly improve the gas barrier properties of PET beer bottles. This equipment is a continuous production system from the injection stretch blow-molding PET bottle to the coating process. The coating process is to send the PET bottle into the coating room with the electrode, and then draw out the air to ensure that the inside and the outside of the container are kept under vacuum. In the state, the acetylene gas is then injected into the bottle and a high-frequency current is applied to the electrode. The coating room is the outer electrode. The acetylene tube is the inner electrode. Due to the current discharge, the acetylene is decomposed into ionized carbon and ionic hydrogen, and is in the bottle. The inner surface is combined to form a fine coating with a thickness of 20 to 30 nm. Compared with ordinary PET bottles, the gas barrier property is more than 10 times greater, the erosion resistance against carbon dioxide is 7 times higher, and the waterproof permeability is 8 times higher. The odor barrier is good, and the UV protection capability is also enhanced. The dissolved amount of the DCL coating itself is extremely small, and it meets the safety standards of the US FDA and can be comparable to the performance of glass bottles.

The technology currently has low production efficiency, and the barrier properties provided by the surface coating technology are often affected by the specific surface area of ​​the bottle. The coating may also cause uneven thickness due to the U-turn, or may be subject to frequent friction to reduce the barrier property. The inner coating still has the problem of food safety. These problems need to be further studied and solved, and the cost needs to be further reduced before it can help the marketization process.
