Title: Addition of new mountaineering standard selection station: Peking University Unnamed Station (March 08, 2004 16:06:23 Monday)
According to the council’s discussion and decision, from this year onwards, the criteria for selection of mountaineers will be determined in addition to the original participation in the activities of the community, the contribution of the work within the department, the quality of personal qualities, and the basis of physical conditions.
First, physical fitness test and assessment. Including the 12-minute run, pull-ups (boys)/hangs (girls), and one-time sit-ups, the specific criteria will be announced. If there are two items that fail to meet the criteria, they will be considered as a disadvantage when selecting players.
Second, rock climbing technical assessment. A "climbing line" will be established, which must be able to reach the top without a falling deadline. Otherwise it will be regarded as a disadvantage when selecting a team member.
Third, mountaineering basic theory knowledge assessment. If you fail to pass the theory assessment, you will not be eligible for the mountaineering candidate if you submit a mountaineering application. (Please note!) This exam is similar to the role of climbing certification. The content is mainly based on common field activity knowledge and winter training. It aims to supervise members to learn mountaineering technical knowledge autonomously. The scope and content of the examination reference materials are as follows:

Field Activities Primer; Ice and Snow Techniques (Winter Training); Mountain Topography (Winter Training Lectures) Mountaineering Bible (Parts of the Version); Glacier Marching and Crack Rescue (Distributed on the Edition, Mainly grouped)
Content Outline (mainly based on winter training)
A field activity knowledge II Mountain climbing personal equipment and wear three Ice and snow slope walking technology - Basic footwork method four Basic knotting technology, basic equipment operation, equipment solidification technique (up and down along the rope)
Five Basic knowledge of the group 6 Self-rescue and slide braking (brief)
VII Basic knowledge of the establishment and use of protection points 8 Mountain topography 9 Mountaineering basic awareness
The above-mentioned reference materials will be consolidated in the near future to the elite directory and the ftp directory for everyone to learn.
