Process difficulties

At present, there are more and more printing methods for vacuum aluminum plating using offset printing. Among them, UV offset printing is mostly used. However, offset UV printing requires dedicated UV offset presses, UV inks, and blankets. In addition, special UV lamps are also required, which consume a lot of power and therefore have a high cost. Therefore, how to use ordinary offset printing presses and common inks to print vacuum aluminum plating materials has become a topic that we must solve. In addition, because the surface of the vacuum aluminum plating material is smooth and the ink absorption is poor, the problem of solving the problem of dryness of the ink and the fastness of the print has also become a difficult process operation.

Process operation

1. Vacuum aluminum plating material offset printing must use high-quality ink, requiring high ink color, good transferability, fast drying and strong print. It is best to use special inks, such as Shanghai-made POP inks.

2. Strictly control the moisture of the plate layout, the fountain solution plays an important role in the drying of the vacuum aluminum plated material. Therefore, the pH and conductivity of the fountain solution must be strictly controlled during printing. To make measurements, speak with the data, and keep the plate layout moisture to a minimum so that the emulsification value of the ink is minimized.

3. The ink layer should be uniform and the amount of ink should not be too large to avoid sticking and scratching. In the preparation of spot color inks, dark color printing should be used.

4. The speed should not be too fast and it should be maintained at an appropriate speed.

5. The prints should not be stacked too high. The paper stack is too high to cause the back of the print to become dirty. In the printing can be the right amount of powder or infrared drying.

6. Strictly control the printing pressure, the pressure of imported multi-color offset press is generally controlled at about 0.08 ~ 0.10mm.
