Founded in the early 17th century, the Baroque period originated in Western Europe and was a very respected period of art, defined as excessive and religious prosperity. This influential and popular style can still be seen in museums and churches around the world and is considered the foundation of many modern artists.
If you have stepped into the Louvre Museum in Paris, you may have noticed the magnificent and golden embroidered wooden frames, including the paintings of the Baroque era. Recently, at the customer's request, Polish design and production service provider Get Models Now created a custom Baroque style photo frame using the ZMorph 2.0 SX 3D printer.
At the beginning of the project, an artist asked the company, Get Models Now, to help him create a custom 3D printed Baroque frame. It is reported that the artist will use 3D printed photo frames to pretend his latest paintings. By mimicking the over-the-top style of this art era, Get Models Now has designed a unique framework from the ground up to make it more entertaining and divide it into 17 different 3D printable parts. It was then printed with a ZMorph 2.0 SX 3D printer and assembled into a large frame measuring 700 mm x 500 mm.
In order to replicate the golden effects that were widely used during the Baroque period, Get Models Now also received the help of an art historian and antique restoration specialist. The expert recommends using professional-grade post-production techniques, and while there are some more popular and cheaper ways to accomplish this, these advanced methods provide a sense of realism and history. The final 3D printed photo frame effect is very satisfying.
