Received a number of FPA print quality and technology innovation award packaging

Pliant Corporation received the Gold Award for Printed Annual Contribution from the United States Flexible Packaging Association for its packaging of Ore Ida roasted red garlic and rosemary scented red potato wedges.

The eye-catching graphics of the Ore Ida bag are full of shelf appeal. It is made of white opaque polyethylene, 8-color flexo, and finally compounded on polyester with a thickness of 48. The packaging also uses Inno-lok re-sealing technology, where consumers can re-close the packaging to protect the flavor of the product in a refrigerated environment. The printing of rolled packaging materials and the Inno-Lok re-sealing function were completed inside the Pliant factory.

In addition, Pliant was awarded a Silver Award for Technology Innovation and Best Partner Award. The Best Partner Award is due to the company's drink bag for Kool-Aid Jammers. Pliant offers high-barrier EVOH films as the base material for Kool-Aid Jammers packaging, and Alcan Packaging is responsible for printing and compounding rolls. Transparent EVOH film allows consumers to see the color of beverages on the packaging, but the barrier properties are very stable, and can retain the original flavor and nutritional ingredients of the beverage.

Pliant Corporation is a processor of film and flexible packaging products, packaging for personal care products, medical supplies, food, industrial supplies and agriculture. The company has 25 factories worldwide that integrate production, research and development. This is the second consecutive year they have won this honor.
